How to Upgrade VMware Workstation
To upgrade the old version of VMware Workstation to the new version:
Step 1: First, run your VMware virtualization program and check the existing version in Help / About.
Step 2: When the new version of the program is released, you can download and upgrade the latest version from Help / Software Updates.
Step 3: Now check the new version by clicking Check for Updates from the window that opens after clicking the Software Updates button.
Step 4: At this stage, the program will connect to the Update Servers to check for a new version.
Step 5: The program will download to your computer if a new version exists.
Step 6: The VMware installation wizard will start after downloading the required files.
Step 7: You must close the VMware virtual machine program, or you will get an error.
Step 8: In the setup wizard, accept the license agreement, configure the required settings, and complete the installation.
Step 9: Restart your computer after installation to ensure the changes take effect.
