After installing the GNS3 VM with VMware on your Windows 10 system, you will need to upgrade when the new version of the program is released.

To configure the GNS3 VM to the latest version:

Step 2: When a new program version is released, you do not need to install it from scratch. Because you will save your network projects and Cisco Router or Switch images you added to the server. So it makes sense to update your GNS3 server to a new version.
Step 3: Now run your GNS3 server and check the version in the top left corner.
Step 4: Open the advanced configuration of the server by pressing Enter on OK.
Step 5: From the listed options, press Enter again on Upgrade.
Step 6: The required packages will be downloaded and installed online.
Step 7: After the GNS3 VM is updated, the server will reboot, and you will now have the new version installed.
